Event Support Agent

Description:
The Event Support Agent position is primarily a field-based role, with some office tasks.

The events mainly involve running farmers’ markets and a one-time event for distributing plants to residents of the Plateau.

In the field:

  • Assist with setting up and dismantling the markets, under the supervision of the manager.

  • Help install and dismantle vendors’ booths as well as the Maison de l’amitié booth.

  • Replace vendors during the markets when needed.

  • Provide information to customers.

  • Ensure site safety.

  • Participate in counting the number of visitors.

  • Assist with workshops and other activities held alongside the markets and other events.

  • Perform any other tasks related to the smooth operation of the markets.

In the office (under the supervision of the Associate Coordinator of Community Events):

  • Carry out various clerical tasks to support event logistics.

  • Follow up with partners (contracts, payments, etc.).

  • Assist with communications.

Job Requirements:

  • Be flexible with scheduling and available to work weekends.

  • Have strong interpersonal skills, be customer service-oriented, and enjoy teamwork.

  • Be able to work outdoors at all times (except in exceptional circumstances).

  • Be in good physical condition.

  • Be proactive and reliable (punctuality).

  • Knowledge of common software (an asset).

  • Driver’s license (an asset).

Prerequisites (as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program):

  • Be between 18 and 30 years old.

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Conditions:

  • Duration: 8 weeks.

  • 35 hours per week.

  • Weekday and weekend schedule.

  • $18/hour.

  • Activities take place in Montreal, in the Plateau-Mont-Royal and Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.

Contract dates (ideally):

  • From May 11, 2026, to July 5, 2026.
