Event Support Agent
Description:
The Event Support Agent position is primarily a field-based role, with some office tasks.
The events mainly involve running farmers’ markets and a one-time event for distributing plants to residents of the Plateau.
In the field:
-
Assist with setting up and dismantling the markets, under the supervision of the manager.
-
Help install and dismantle vendors’ booths as well as the Maison de l’amitié booth.
-
Replace vendors during the markets when needed.
-
Provide information to customers.
-
Ensure site safety.
-
Participate in counting the number of visitors.
-
Assist with workshops and other activities held alongside the markets and other events.
-
Perform any other tasks related to the smooth operation of the markets.
In the office (under the supervision of the Associate Coordinator of Community Events):
-
Carry out various clerical tasks to support event logistics.
-
Follow up with partners (contracts, payments, etc.).
-
Assist with communications.
Job Requirements:
-
Be flexible with scheduling and available to work weekends.
-
Have strong interpersonal skills, be customer service-oriented, and enjoy teamwork.

Be able to work outdoors at all times (except in exceptional circumstances).
-
Be in good physical condition.
-
Be proactive and reliable (punctuality).
-
Knowledge of common software (an asset).
-
Driver’s license (an asset).
Prerequisites (as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program):
-
Be between 18 and 30 years old.
-
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Conditions:
-
Duration: 8 weeks.
-
35 hours per week.
-
Weekday and weekend schedule.
-
$18/hour.
-
Activities take place in Montreal, in the Plateau-Mont-Royal and Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.

From May 11, 2026, to July 5, 2026.
